The overall purpose of the Africa Global Emergence Center is to catalyze a re-run of the Africa narrative in a positive light. In other words, it seeks to provide an alternative voice to the historically persistent negative picture portrayed by the mass media and other literature about the continent’s development path.
Specifically the objectives of the Africa Global Emergence Center are to:
•Create Platforms and opportunities for critical objectives and intellectual analysis of issues and provide solutions through policy briefs for accelerated development of the continent.
• Mobilise knowledge and expertise globally in support of the continents' transformative agenda.
• Present the positive narratives of Accra through a network of Afro-optimist media partners.
